Pere Alcon Jujube Flute Headjoint with .950 Riser
Our Description
This lovely headjoint from Spanish flutemaker Pere Alcon is a stunning addition to the ever-expanding range of wooden headjoints. This headjoint has very little undercutting, giving it a rich tone with lots of harmonics. While this makes it somewhat more demanding, we think it's worth the effort, and highly recommend giving it a go!
About Pere Alcon
Pere Alcon began his training in brass and woodwind repair at the Llangunllo school, later continuing at B&S and Selmer. While developing his expertise as a repair technician—earning the Straubinger Pad certificate and becoming a Muramatsu authorized technician—he gradually turned his focus towards flute making, and in particular headjoints. He has worked with leading brands including Muramatsu, Powell, and Yamaha at international flute events and showcases. Pere studied wooden headjoint making with Robert Bigio, and later travelled to Tokyo to learn seamed tube construction and metal headjoint making directly from Yoshiteru Akiyama.
Today, guided by mentors Robert Bigio, Yoshiteru Akiyama, and the Sakurai family, Pere continues to refine his craft, uniting his deep technical background with a dedication to the artistry of flute headjoint making.
