Within the UK, most orders are sent out by Royal Mail; instruments or larger items are usually sent by UPS, which are often next working-day delivery.
Orders placed with Saver Delivery are sent out by Royal Mail 48 (Second Class) or Parcelforce 48 (delivery estimate 2-3 days), while orders placed with Standard Delivery are sent out by Royal Mail 24 (First Class) or Parcelforce 24 (delivery estimate 1-2 days). Orders placed with Priority Delivery are despatched via Royal Mail Special Delivery or courier (usually next day).
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. If you would like Saturday delivery, please place your order by telephone.
If we part ship your order because some items are out of stock, we will send the remainder of your order post free.
Any delivery times quoted are 'best effort' times, and are (i) not guaranteed and (ii) subject to stock availability. We accept no responsibility for consequential loss or damage incurred due to late delivery.
We are currently phasing in displaying shipping prices for international orders.
Depending on the items you order, when you check out we will either display a shipping price or you will have the option to request two shipping quotes before we despatch your order. We will despatch your order once and only if you have approved one of these quotes.
Postage is at cost price. We use a variety of couriers depending on the value and weight of the shipment. For light low-value orders, we usually use Royal Mail Airmail, and delivery times for this are as follows (approximate and not guaranteed):
|Zone||Delivery Time (Approx)|
|Western Europe||3-5 working days|
|Eastern Europe||5-7 working days|
|Rest of World||7-10 working days|
For heavy, bulky and valuable orders, we use a range of couriers, including, amongst others, Fedex, UPS, DHL and Parcelforce. When we send you a shipping quote, we will also let you know the estimated delivery time.
Import Duties and Tariffs
If you are outside the European Union, your delivery may be subect to import duties, sales tax and/or clearance fees. These vary from country to country, so we recommend you check the fees applicable to your country. importcalculator.com can give you a rough idea of these costs.
