Alto sax and Tenor Sax Duet. Originally for violin and viola, the different timbres of the original instruments are matched well by the two differing saxes in this arrangement. In three movements, the first of which features fast running semiquavers in both parts. The central slow movement is very florid and highly ornamented, requiring neat finger work. The last movement is fast again, building to an exciting climax. Using the full ranges of both instruments, suitable for advanced players of grade 7-8 standard.
