16 Studies for alto and bass flute (designed as 10 for alto and 6 for bass, but they will all work on both instruments), each one concentrating on a particular technical challenge. These are ideal for flute players switching to alto and bass, and are melodically interesting while presenting some challenges for the intermediate to advanced player.
The aim of creating these works was to show the alto flute and bass flute as independent, self-sufficient solo instruments. Each part of the suite is also a study for technique and musicality that subsequently makes chapters of the tale.
Difficulty guide: 6-8
Difficulty level, roughly compared to ABRSM exam grades. 0 is total beginner, 9 is advanced (beyond grade 8).
