- Interesting, worth a look
From the Publisher
Sonata No. 6 (La Salmonella) was written after the composer's return from the Edinburgh Fringe where he attended a production of his musical Far From the Madding Crowd. The piece has great theatrical energy, probably as a result. Written in the traditional, eighteenth-century, three-movement sonata format, the last movement carries Classicism even further with its flavor of Haydn's music. Incidentally, Sonata No. 6 (La Salmonella) was written while Schocker was recovering from the aftermath of a substandard Scottish poached egg.
