Premiered at the 2019 National Flute Association convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Woodland Springs Suite for flute choir by Martin Blessinger showcases the various visitors to the pond adjacent to his house in Fort Worth, Texas. In three movements, the first movement (The Divers) depicts the diving birds which plummet below the surface, swim around furiously in search of food, then reemerge at surprising distances. The second (The Gliders) is for the graceful gliders that seem to move effortlessly atop the pond's surface. And the third (The Innocents) represents the baby waterfowl that emerge every spring and bring joy, lightness, and wonder to the pond.Item Details
