General Condition

This early (and very pretty) Rudall & Rose boxwood flute is in overall good condition, having been just restored by Arthur Haswell.

There is one crack at the top of the headjoint, from the crown to the embouchure hole. A replacement silver embouchure plate has been added, predumably becuase of this. This crack was filled by Arthur as part of the restoration.

There is a mark at the bottom of the footjoint, but it does not appear to be a crack.

The keys are all original and undamaged.

The stamp is 15 PIAZZA / COVENT GARDEN, placing it in the years between 1827 to 1837.
