"Uhr-Auffuhrung" for Four Treble Recorders and Percussion Instruments

The clock performance requires at least 13 players, including 4 flautists. In addition to a solo flute, the other flutes each lead a group of percussion instruments, and a group is also joined by a piano or a guitar. This scenic music is based on a poetic design that makes the structure, character and performance possibility clear: It is night in a watchmaker's workshop. Different clockworks or clocks tick with different pitches, at different tempos and with opposite characters. At midnight the magician (the solo flute) comes and goes from clock to clock. The one he touches wakes up and tries to wake up the neighbor's clock. The ticking in the workshop becomes ever happier, more exuberant and louder until the clock strikes 1 o'clock - then the spook is over and all the clocks tick again like they did at the beginning.
An effective performance piece for music schools or concerts, also for larger groups with different playing levels.
