Trisection was commissioned by Kelly McKinney for The Dulcet Flute Trio. Members of The Dulcet Flute Trio are Kelly McKinney, Tamara Grizzle, and Jammie Phillips. The piece is divided fairly equally among the three players as they chase each other around in a trisection. The music starts in a unision, but then split into a three, and hopefully find their way back together by then end.
