George Frideric Handel (1685 – 1750). This aria 'Thou didst blow with the wind' is from Part 2 of Handel’s 'Israel in Egypt' HWV54, originally in Eb for two oboes, bassoon and soprano voice. I’ve given the solo voice to the alto flute, and the bassoon part is a wonderful opportunity for the bass flute to shine, with semiquavers throughout. The two flutes have the oboe parts.
