TANGO – this is the album by the world music ensemble Quadro Nuevo, which was released after a “Buenos Aires expedition” together with the pianist Chris Gall. TANGO FOR TWO – this is the resulting collection of 12 tangos for the exciting “duo line-up”. In addition to original compositions, pieces by Ángel Villoldo (El Choclo), Carlos Gardel (Por una cabeza, El día que me quieras) and Astor Piazzolla (Libertango, Oblivion), among others, were arranged for duo playing. The series is available for tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, flute, violin and cello, either in solo + piano or solo with CD. The CD contains all 12 tracks as play-along and duo versions. The arrangements by Mulo Francel and Chris Gall are of medium difficulty.
