“Hollywood style Boehm!”
The Danish composer Jacob Gade is best known for his film music and this Tango Fantasia could quite easily have come stright from a Hollywood musical. The Boehm part turns it into a piece of staggering virtuosity. The Tango rhythms are firmly anchored by the accompaniment and the flute just does its thing over the top. Stunning to listen to!
The other three pieces are not so difficult!
