Marezcek was born in Brno on July 3, 1910. Here he was a teacher at the academy and theater music director until 1944. At the age of 34 he went to Cairo and directed a German symphony orchestra. In 1947 he conducted in Stuttgart and became a permanent employee of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk. From 1965 to 1967 he was the director of the operetta at the Oldenburg State Theater and enjoyed great success. Until his death on December 19, 1984, he worked for concerts and funk.
