Gary Schocker's Spelunking is an expedition for two flutes. The first movement is titled "Scaling," and it suggests the upward and downward scaling of caves, along with a surprise or two. The second movement, "Fool's Gold," is developed from musical ideas in the first movement, and the "Bearing Treasure" of movement three is the reward.
