This Sonatina employs a neo-classical style characterised by scalic and arpeggiated figurations enhanced by a strong jazz/dissonant harmonic language which colours the entire three movement composition. Motivic development, particularly of the opening two bar idea in the piano, is a prevailing technique as is a continuous light poylphonic texture.
