This unusual way of writing unexpectedly paints a magical soundscape which is fascinating. A mood picture for solo flute, inspired by a visit to the Sénanque monastery and the surrounding Provençal landscape. This piece uses pars-per-toto playing techniques, which means that sounds are only used on parts of the flute (head, middle and foot). The piece is demanding and a challenge for flautists with a flair for experimental playing styles.
