“A beautiful piece arranged with sensitivity.”
Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
This is a really good arrangement of Sheep May Safely Graze which unusually has starring roles for the second and third flutes. Anchored entirely by the alto, the famous semiquaver figuration passes round the rest of the group so tonal projection from the soloist will be the main challenge in balancing any performance. It's easy to forget that this is actually an aria as there are plenty of notes to be played, so it's lovely to be reminded of the serenity of the writing through this imaginative scoring. A beautiful piece arranged with sensitivity!
