The famous, popular melody with introduction and sparkling waltz - it's got to be a winner!

Santa Lucia is a neighbourhood in Naples, Italy, and the original song is about nostalgia for that place.

Wilhelm Popp [1828 - 1903] was German, a master flute player and composer of music for his instrument. He wrote hundreds of pieces for flute and piano that are always a pleasure to play and always popular.

And, as you can see in the video, Nicola Mazzanti shows us that it sounds good on piccolo also.
