“Fenigstein's flute pieces not only explore the technical possibilities of playing, right up to extreme situations; they are also models for a 'rhetorical' music. This is by no means to be understood as a diligent eloquence, but rather the intention of finding new motivic configurations based on the speaker's affect (...) In the lecture piece (...)
