The Purr-fect Guide to the TooT Flute – a playful first flute book for children aged 4–6.
The method offers a lot of short, playful, and simple exercises and activities to make the learning experience enjoyable and successful. The method is primarily intended for the TooT Flute, which has padded keys and comes with two different mouthpieces, to make it possible to create a tone from the very first beginning. However, with some adjustments, the method can be used for beginners on a recorder or a traditional flute.
The book is richly illustrated and evolves around a menagerie of animals to inspire improvisation, playing games, dancing and making music.
Anne teaches as a flute teacher and basic music teacher at Høje Taastrup Music School, and as an instrumental pedagogy teacher at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
Her flute method (My Flute Book 1 and My Flute Book 2) has reached the NFA list of recommended materials.
