Prelude for Unaccompanied Flute

This is a haunting piece for solo flute which, although looking simple on the page, is full subtle inflections and changing colours to challenge the performer. The slow minim speed enables the long phrases and angular intervals of the flute line to weave an almost hypnotic spell on the listener which is timeless. The result is a very effective piece of solo flute writing that is very surprisingly satisfying to play.
