Our Description

Mateki is a small Japanese flute company, and they pride themselves on the high quality of their output. The same well trained, highly experienced people who build their top-of-the-line flute models handcraft all models of Mateki Flute. Mateki holds to the principles of hand-made craftsmanship combined with exacting standards.

General Condition

This flute has been through our workshop and is in very good condition throughout. There are some very minor blemishes on the headjoint but these are hardly noticeable and do not affect the sound.

About Mateki

Mateki were a boutique Japanese flute company with a small output of flutes of exceptional quality. Whether it was one of their top-line gold models or their intermediate silver-headed models, the same craftspeople worked on all models, meaning a wealth of experience and expertise went into every single flute. Sadly Mateki flutes are no longer produced, but they are excellent instruments still worthy of consideration.
