Roland Batik (born 19 August 1951) is an Austrian pianist, composer, jazz musician and piano teacher. In the style of his compositions, he is seeking a fusion of classical elements with Jazz. His piano music sells worldwide and is very highly respected. His music is frequently broadcast on Austrian radio.
In this three-movement, contrasting and rhythmically interesting work, Batik succeeds in combining classical tradition with influences from jazz, Latin and popular music.
