“When life takes over!”

Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - chrish@justflutes.com
Amy Rice-Young devised this system to help her cope with her busy life style and it’s a really handy book for all hard-pressed flute players. Designed to give a potted account of all the many study books that fill all our shelves and that we might not always have to time to consult, it runs to only 17 pages, covering all the main aspects of flute technique. Tone, harmonics, scales, and intervals are all included, together with some studies and melodies. Slim enough to be carried anywhere, it could transform your life!

From the Publisher

When beginning to practise after a significant absence, Amy dreaded pulling out all the books and figuring out what she should do. So she devised a system, with various notes, where she could pick up a folder, take it with her, and have all of her reminders of what she should be doing. She shared this with a number of fellow musicians over the years, and has discovered that there are loads of us that are OOP! (Out of Practice), and would love a simple book to help them for a few days.

Difficulty guide: 7
Difficulty level, roughly compared to ABRSM exam grades. 0 is beginner, 9 is advanced (beyond grade 8).
