From the Publisher
Grieg's incidental music to Ibsen's play Peer Gynt was composed in 1875. The composer later revised eight of the 23 movements to form two orchestral suites. Morning appears as the first movement of the first suite, but was originally the introduction to Act 4 of the play. Grieg's title for the movement was Morgenstemning (Morning Mood).
The Aeolia arrangement is supplied with separate parts for flute and harp. The harp part includes markings for suggested pedalling and fingering.
