This episode of Luc Grethen's Little Dino creation would make an excellent ensemble piece for younger players. The format is five events that run into each other and the flexible instrumentation (flute or bassoon or mini bassoon, for which parts are included) makes it easy to adapt for multiple players on each part or even a different group for each section. The piano part holds it all together anyway, and since the piece could easily be about Christmas it would be ideal for festive end-of-term concerts. A really useful purchase!

In this episode of the Little Dino series our little hero visits Finland. Arrival in Helsinki, Little Dino's Cold Song, The Magnidicent Northern Lights, Visiting Santa Claus in Lapland, Frisking in the Snow, these are the different parts of the episode. The main musical theme, whcih has already characterized the protagonist in previous episodes, recurs each time in a modified form in the series, this time mixed with Finiish folk and children's songs.
