“Lovely music!”

Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]
This selection of short arrangements is perfect if you'd like to indulge in some lovely French melody! From the gorgeous 'Softly Awakes my Heart' to Gounod's 'Je veux vivre' there is a good spread of styles here with Duparc's haunting 'Rapture' being a particular highlight and the 'Doll Song' from Offenbach's Tales of Hoffman the most substantial. The arrangements are great too so buy and enjoy!

From the Publisher

A collection of favourite French romantic melodies by Gounod, Saint-Saëns, Massenet, Hahn, Chausson, Duparc, Offenbach and Godard, arranged for flute and piano. Drawn from art song and opera, the lyrical beauty of these melodies provides an opportunity to explore and delight in expression and tone colour. These gems of the French repertoire are perfectly suited to the voice of the flute and make ideal short concert pieces.
