“Excellent for younger beginners”
More of the same winning formula from Heather Hammond - another colourful book containing some excellent material for younger players. Starting with revision exercises , the middle register is then tackled immediately. Progress is much more speedy than in book 1 but the combination of rhythm exercises, simple theory, good illustration and a decent accompanying CD is still appealing. However, an approximate grade 2+ standard is reached by the end, by which time the format could prove a litte limiting.
