This is a difficult flute trio that sounds great! The fast speed, changing metre and cascades of notes bring out the playful character of the outer sections and contrast effectively with the more reflective passage in the middle. The writing is also sensible so there are no hidden technical horrors to catch you out. This is a trio for serious players but it is really good to play!
