Flume for Flute, Violin and Piano

Premiered and live recording by Olivia Boatman (flute), Marianna Cutright Brickle (violin), and David Brickle (piano) at Florida State University.

A flume is a small stream which winds its way through a ravine. This piece was written around 2003 for an ensemble that quickly disbanded after the completion of the composition. Thirteen years later, it found its premiere by graduate students at Florida State University. Much like a flume, this piece meandered through a circuitous path until it finally found its destination.
