  • Interesting, worth a look

From the Publisher

Performance Notes:

  • For solo flute visuals (pdf or PowerPoint presentation)
  • The visuals can be controlled by the flutist or a second person and should follow the playing speed as closely as possible.
  • The instrumentalists and visuals should both be visible
  • There are three kinds of writing:
    • Reading silently - either as fast as possible or at an imagined reading-to-yourself speed
    • Reading aloud - as rhythmically close to how you would naturally read this aloud and publically
    • Singing - as written and as 'sung' as possible
  • For Reading aloud and Singing the written text, consonants and vowels can impact on the articulation and colour of notes

Commissioned by the London Sinfonietta in a version for solo oboe. First performed by Gareth Hulse in 2015

Flute version written for Kathryn Williams

Performance duration (approx): 6'00
