If you want to introduce something different into your teaching I suggest you try this book as each of these 12 great little duets explores a different extended flute technique. Key slaps, multiphonics, flutter tonguing, harmonics, singing and playing together, pitch bending and playing on the head joint alone are all used and are woven seamlessly into the pieces. The titles fit the technique very well - for example Windy uses harmonics - and this will hopefully fire the imagination for further development. This is a great way to introduce younger players to these devices and I'm sure a great deal of fun will be had by all!
