Brahms' Lullaby: 3 Easy Pieces for Four Flutes
Arranged by Roz Trübger
- Staff Pick
“Great for starter ensembles!”
These three lovely Brahms melodies are perfect for groups of inexperienced players. The arrangement gives parts one and two the starring roles so this will be an opportunity to shine for more advance students. Parts three and four are easier. Where this really delivers, however, is in independence given to each player so the friendly nature of the notes makes it much easier to focus on ensemble skills. The music's good too!
From the Publisher
The ever popular Lullaby [Wiegenlied] by Brahms plus two of his lesser known pieces in arrangements suitable for mixed ability early stage flute players. All parts are tuneful and interesting to play, but graded so that part 4 is very easy and part 1 is more difficult.
The video has samples of all three pieces.
Roz's note: The Lullaby is very special to me because, when I was a small child, my father used to sit on my bed and sing it to me in German me before I went to sleep. The lovely edition cover of parent & child was photographed by ©Giovanni Mari.
