This volume of 12 original duets for two saxophones (in the same key) provides enjoyable and instructive material for the beginner saxophone player. It takes students through common rhythmic styles (swing, rock, jazz waltz) and figures in a variety of common keys. Blues harmonic and rhythmic styles provide excellent material for accidental, rhythm and rest reading.

This volume is the second in a series of four duet books; this volume is approximately grade 2-3 standard. The series covers grades 1-7. Also in the "Blues for" series is one trio book (3 saxophones in the same key) and two books of solos.

The volumes are intended to provide duet material for the advancing student with high and low notes being gradually introduced through the volumes.
