This volume of 16 original solos for saxophone provides enjoyable and instructive material for the intermediate saxophone player. It takes the student through common rhythmic styles (swing, rock, rock 'n' roll, jazz waltz, ragtime, funk, 6/8, 12/8, 2/2) and figures in a variety of keys. Blues harmonic and rhythmic styles provide excellent material for accidental, rhythm and rest reading.
This volume is the second in a series of two solo books; this volume is approximately grade 3-6 standard. The series covers grades 0-6. Also in the "Blues for" series are four duet books and one trio book.
