Allegro Assai from Sonata No.3 in C major
- Interesting, worth a look
This Allegro is ideal for the study of good alto flute technique. Transposed directly from the violin original, the music uses extremes of range at high velocity, and challenges the player with difficulties of articulation, breathing and stamina, as well as obvious problems of finger technique.
Difficulty level, roughly compared to ABRSM exam grades. 0 is beginner, 9 is advanced (beyond grade 8).
