“A most wonderful book”

Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]

The great thing here is that Moyse takes Bach's Allemande and uses the famous tune to create fifty challenging variations without ever compromising the original. He knew that stretching technique with stunning music makes practice more approachable. All standard articulations are covered, each variation focusing on one pattern, and there is often a choice of speed or dynamics. Ornamentation, tricky rhythms and octaves add to the complexity. This is a book that keeps on giving and is just wonderful.
