Product Reviews: Di Zhao Boston DZA-100 Alto Flute

This alto is so easy to play, giving a big, resonant sound, particularly at the bottom, is very responsive and feels very robust. It also has a split E mechanism and D# roller which really helps when manoeuvring around those bottom notes. It comes with both straight and curved headjoints and is very reasonably priced. I was also trialling another more expensive and very popular alto and both were delivered to me in the same box via DPD. This alto was unplayable on arrival and had obviously come out of adjustment during transit, but the Di Zhao survived the journey unscathed and played like a dream on arrival. As I said, it seems to be very robust but I imagine only time will tell after a few years of playing!
