“Best swab available”
Not only is this cleaning cloth super absorbent, it's nice to look at too. The real magic I have found is in the cloth's stretch properties. That means there is no bunching up when you pass the cloth through the flute's body. It expands and contracts as it's being run in and pulled through which allows it to reach out and grab more moisture in more places. Also, this cloth is smaller than a standard swabbing gauze so it takes up less room in the pockets on your case cover. Get one for yourself and the other flutists in your life.
“Good cloth but gets stuck”
Great absorption and a fun pattern but tends to bunch up and get stuck in the holes unless you grip the bottom corner and pull it tight when pulling the cloth out of the flute.
“Beaumont Bamboo Charcoal Flute Cleaning Gauze”
Highly absorbent, dries quickly, and I'm very glad it's machine washable
“Great item! ”
The best cleaning gauze I ever bought.
“Fabulously absorbent swab”
Although I was initially disappointed in its size, this inner swab is amazing. I have tried cotton, silk, even soft chamois, and this product does the job first time every time. Usually I have to swab my instrument twice to make sure all moisture has been removed. This swab did in one pass. I have the magnolia swab. It’s so pretty and feminine. Great if you are also a gardener. If appeals to two hobbies at once
“useful, looks better.”
Bought this as I always feel like I'm waving a white flag around with the traditional gauze. I think the plain black looks better for concerts. It works well, but does bunch up more than muslin. Fabric is a mix of polyester and bamboo.
“Neat.”
Smaller than I had imagined and there is a knack to using it as it tends to bunch and get stuck. It does a good job absorbing moisture easily. On the whole I'm pleased but I will also try the gauze option in the meantime.
