“Really useful”
I love this, I have one for my flute as well, they might look novel but they are seriously useful, in particular for the tricky business of cleaning the head joint.

I was happily surprised to find that this cleaned the headjoint very well, but am slightly annoyed that it does not fit through a conical bore piccolo body which is what I have. On the instructions that come with the piccolo snake it says 'do not force through a conical bore piccolo' and it would have been nice to have that written in the product description.

Becky, thanks for taking the time to write a review. I can confirm that the Piccolo Snake can be used on a conical piccolo (in fact virtually all modern piccolos are conical) - the instructions are perhaps not very clear. To use this item, start cleaning from the headjoint end (the wider part of the bore) and clean the body. You should be able to reach all the way to the end of the instrument. We regularly clean our piccolos in our showroom with the Piccolo Snake this way.
What the instructions are trying to point out is that you shouldn't push the Snake all the way through the instrument and out the other side if it is tight, as this could cause damage if forced.
