I have had a Gig case cover for over 10 years, and it was beginning to show its age. I have been looking at these for a while, not daring to buy one online until I saw it it in reality. I saw one when Just Flutes brought a stall to a flute festival and was smitten.

The case is beautifully made with patent leather outer, fleece lined in the main pocket, and a polka dot lining in the side pocket. The Velcro straps in the main compartment hold my flute case firmly in place, and there is room for my piccolo case, tuner, metronome and screwdriver as well. If I were less gadget driven, it would fit my piccolo and flute stand.

The side pocket is also very generous, holding pencils, cleaning rod and cloths and other general bits and pieces. it is patent leather, so it starts off very tight, but the leather "gives" a little as it wears in.

The zips are firm, and there is a lot of detail in the finishing. Top stitching and gold coloured zips and metal handle fittings add to the feeling of luxury. I hate leaving my piccolo in the back room if it isn't needed in half a concert.... This is one bag I am not ashamed to have under my chair!

Yes, it is not cheap! However, my last bag lasted me 10 years and I expect this to last as long if not longer. Taken that way, the price seems much more reasonable! And the feeling I get when I use it.... In the words of a famous advert, I am worth it!
