Daphnis et Chloe for Flute Quintet

This is a stunning arrangement of Daphnis Part 3 which will give advanced players a chance to perform this piece more often. Rie Schmidt has left as much of the original flute writing as intact as possible but everyone chips into the overall texture where necessary. Inevitably this results is a real test of stamina - it's a very tough ask to replicate Ravel's orchestral colour with only 5 flutes! Schmidt comes very close though. The subtleties are still wonderful and the excitement thrilliing so if you have four adventurous virtuoso friends get started now!
