We are excited to announce that Jonathan Snowden will be returning to Just Flutes to give private lessons on Friday 6th March.

Jonathan Snowden is one of Britain’s premier flautists. Principal Flute with Opera North aged 21, two years later he became Principal Flute with the Royal Philharmonic. Following this he was Principal Flute with the London Philharmonic and then Philharmonia. He was Principal Flute with the London Chamber Orchestra for many years. Journalist Edward Greenfield described Snowden in The Guardian as “one of the most brilliant flautists of his generation.”

He has recorded hundreds of movie scores including: The King’s Speech, Batman, The Dark Knight, James Bond (various), Hannibal, Lord of the Rings, The Da Vinci Code, Sense and Sensibility, Narnia – Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Shrek – Forever After, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Pride and Prejudice, SpongeBob SquarePants, Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, Stardust, and The Mission.

Jonathan Snowden is currently Professor of Flute at Shenandoah Conservatory, Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia, USA and Artist in Residence at Levine School of Music, Washington DC, USA.

Lessons are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost of each 50-minute lesson is £80.00, payable in cash on the day to Jonathan Snowden.
