Just Flutes Presents… Meet The Maker: Pere Alcon and Sakurai Flutes

We are delighted to welcome back Spanish headjoint maker Pere Alcon to exhibit at a Meet the Maker session here at Just Flutes alongside Sakurai Flutes.

Pere Alcon will be here and he will have a comprehensive range of headjoints in all sorts of materials, including silver, gold and exotic woods! This is an ideal opportunity to chat with a hugely respected headjoint maker, and you may even find your perfect headjoint! Pere has collaborated with brands such as Muramatsu, Powell and Yamaha, repairing at flute showcases and events. He studied wooden headjoint making with Robert Bigio, and learnt seamed tube techniques and metal headjoint making from Master Yoshiteru Akiyama in Tokyo.

Sakurai Flutes est 1959

For the very first time outside of Japan, we are delighted to welcome Sakurai flutes in collaboration with Pere Alcon for our Meet the Maker event. 

Sakurai flutes specialise in handmade Japanese flutes. Not only concert flutes, but also piccolos, alto flutes, D and Eb flutes. They also make wooden flutes, and use traditional seamed tubing in their metal flutes.
