Hurricane! for solo flute

  • Interesting, worth a look

From the Publisher

HURRICANE! for solo flute by Howard J. Buss was written in October of 2004 immediately after the Florida composer personally experienced the wrath of 3 major hurricanes over a span of 6 weeks. Cast in 4 colorful, dramatic movements, this work features the juxtaposition of serene passages with intense and violent sections. The overall form is analogous to the sequence of events that occur during the approach and passing of a hurricane.
