“Don't miss this!”

Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member - [email protected]

This is such an interesting and valuable book which no flute player should miss. In this comprehensive guide to the methods of one of the greatest flute teachers, no stone is left unturned in the pursuit of acquiring everything you need to be an all round player. The clarity of the layout makes it an easy volume to navigate. There are few books that set out so clearly the problem and the solution. Want to know about vibrato? Go to page 90! Warming up? Page 71. Every section has nuggets of information which can be easily understood and used in a variety of different situations. Topics such as 'Organizing practice' have since been adopted and adapted by countless great players. The photographs do look a little old-fashioned but the exercises and illustrations of their application are forever enduring and this is definitely a book that is as relevant now as it always has been. Don't miss it!
