This is the exciting London Premiere of the Sonata for Flute and Piano by Jonathan Slade, first premiered in Birmingham by Michael Cox and recently recorded by Gareth Davies. Jen Townsend is performing it, accompanied by Jonathan himself at the piano.
Jen's programme features composers that have succeeded despite adversity in their lives. Her programme includes:
Romance in F by Beethoven
Valse Bleue Angela Morley
Sonata for Flute and Piano by Jonathan Slade
Romance No. 1 by Clara Schumann
Movement 3 of Flute Concerto in D Minor by Khachaturian
Jen's other pieces will be accompanied by Jonathan Lilley
