The Birthday of a King
- Interesting, worth a look
From the Publisher
The Birthday of a King is a beautiful festive piece that portrays as exciting event in history. The music is majestic and stately. Ideally the arrangement shoudl be played using 4 C flutes and an alto flute. However there are parts for the fifith part to be another C flute or bass flute.
Technically the parts are not very demanding. Rhythms can be tricky in some spots, especially with the use of double dotted quavers. The full range of the instrument is used from low C to high B flat.
This is an exciting addition to your holiday collection of music. Although not a very common song, it will capture your heart by surprise.
Difficulty level, roughly compared to ABRSM exam grades. 0 is beginner, 9 is advanced (beyond grade 8).
