Bird Tango

Staff Pick

“Three piccolos?!”

Chris Hankin Just Flutes staff member -
If you thing that 3 piccolos is just too much of a good thing, perhaps you should think again. This very effective piece uses tango rhythms in the accompaniment over which the piccolos weave some surprising sonorities. Illustrating 'the normal daily life of birds' there is more Disney here than  dissonance. You won't even have to warn the neighbours!

From the Publisher

The Bird tango presents the normal daily life of birds: singing in forest, arguing with each other, and working together as a choir until sunset, when all the birds go to sleep and only some single chirps can still be heard.
