I am a flautist living and working in Yorkshire with 25 years teaching experience, privately and in schools, 1-1, groups and as leading/coaching ensembles. I provide individualised tuition and guidance to children and adults, according to your needs and preferences, whether playing for fun or working towards exams or performances.
I studied flute and baroque flute at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and ethnomusicology (Irish traditional flute style) at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. My performance work includes classical, folk, celtic rock, orchestral, wind quintet and wind band - my versatile background informs how I work with you!
I love working with flute players; helping you to access and grow your own musicianship whilst improving your technique and confidence, wherever you're at with your playing. My teaching style is friendly, creative and professional. Please do get in touch for a chat about what you would like to achieve in your playing. What I teach:
